I found BLD x Monique on Instagram because I’m trying to make it a point to support black-owned businesses as much as I can. I was a little hesitant because I have terrible luck with gold-plated jewelry, it usually turns my skin green after a week! I gave in because of how dainty the jewelry looked and I just had to have it! I purchased the Kayla Hoop Earrings and the “She Can Do All Things” Ring in a size 9. What I love most about this business is that each ring has an affirmation, not to mention that the owner is so sweet and really listens to her clients suggestions which I appreciate! As far as the jewelry itself, I am obsessed! I love dainty gold jewelry and this exceeded all expectations! I know it’s really easy to go on amazon and buy whatever ring from a seller, but you get what you pay for! In this case, I feel like I got a steal! I waited a few weeks before photographing and writing my review because I wanted to see if the jewelry would turn my skin green, and trust me I put it to the TEST! This jewelry is water resistant and hypoallergenic, and after I put it to the test I can confidently recommend these products without a thought!
